Bess, 23, grew up in Concord, North Carolina, and developed an early love for travel and community that now defines her leadership experiences with Moondance. A senior at Washington & Lee University, she is preparing to pursue a Master’s in Art History in Denver after graduation. Her Moondance journey began as a student on the Italian Dolomites and Thailand trips, and she has since led California and Ecuador + Galapagos, building strong experience in international logistics and cross-cultural connections. Bess is known for her warm, outgoing presence and her ability to form genuine one-on-one relationships that uplift the entire group. With a passion for being outdoors, she brings joy, support, and steady mentorship to her students.
