Once you’ve learned to safely submerge, you’ll have an all access pass to Hawaii’s warm water reefs. Glide among coral forests and tropical fish in a technicolor wilderness. Put on your goggles and open your eyes to the incredible world of underwater exploration.
Get your hands dirty while working in the botanical gardens of Kauai! Your group may work with a local scientist researching native species and breadfruit – a true “whole food” that contains carbs, protein, and many nutrients necessary to support life. Many of the native plants are severely endangered due to overgrowth of invasive species. Protection and preservation of these native plants is of the utmost importance to Hawaiian culture and your role this summer will help with these efforts.
The bright green cliffs of the Na Pali coastline rise from the sea in an iconic display, sometimes seen on hollywood screens, but best seen up close and personal. You’ll have the best view in your ocean kayak as you paddle the famous coastline on an epic excursion. Navigate the most stunning waters in the Pacific as you gaze up at living emerald walls and explore beaches only accessible by boat.
Witness the unique island geology that causes the mainland to always be growing and changing due to active volcanoes. Walk alien landscapes and explore the ever changing scenery and geologic wonder of Hawaii.
