Elise Pigue, 23, is from Summerfield, North Carolina and graduated from Appalachian State University last May with a degree in Exercise Science. Prior to leading for Moondance this summer, Elise took a gap year and worked as ski lift operator in Utah before she starts PT school this fall! Elise has a variety of different experiences working with teenagers over the last four summers—as a counselor at Camp Tekoa, junior staff for Teens Camping Tour of the West, and a backpacking instructor in Pisgah National Forest for Inside Out. She absolutely loves being a mentor, giving back to young people, and sharing her passion for the outdoors. Along with a unique ability to connect with people, Elise has a charismatic and mature personality that is going to make her a fantastic Trip Leader this summer. We can’t wait for her to Live in the Moment on our Big Wild trip!
Olin Brimberry, 21, comes to Moondance from Raleigh, NC and will be a senior at Wofford University next fall. His sister, Lucy, is a three-time alum and he was inspired to lead because of the way she spoke about the Moondance Magic! Olin is an avid outdoorsman who considers his greatest passion to be fly fishing—working at an Orvis store in Raleigh and participating as an active member of the Trout Unlimited Chapter at Wofford. He is a previous camp counselor at Gwynn Valley Camp in Brevard, NC where he served as a cabin counselor and multi-day mountain biking and backpacking trip leader along the Ridgeline Trail in Pisgah National Forest. We can’t wait for Olin to put his passion for serving teenagers and love for the outdoors on full display this summer in the Great American West! He is going to absolutely thrive a Trip Leader!
