James, now 31, returns as a seasoned veteran to the Moondance team, bringing his wealth of experience and enthusiasm for adventure. Originally from Gadsden, Alabama, James attended the University of Alabama for his undergraduate studies before returning to Tuscaloosa to pursue his MBA. A proud Crimson Tide fan, James’s love for his alma mater is matched only by his passion for leading Moondance trips. With seven previous summers under his belt, including leading expeditions to Cataract Canyon, Big Wild, Ecuador & Galápagos, Thailand, Hawaiian Islands, Kenya + Zanzibar, and the Mystery Trip last year, James is a pillar of the Moondance community. His leadership and expertise not only enrich the experiences of his students but also contribute to the vibrant spirit of the Moondance family. As he takes on the Yosemite expedition this year, James continues to inspire and empower those around him, leaving a lasting impact on all whose paths he crosses. We are thrilled to have the “King of Adventure” back with us once again, leading the way towards unforgettable experiences and meaningful connections.
