Charlie, now 21, brings his love for mentorship and the outdoors to his role as a Trip Leader with Moondance. Originally from Greensboro, North Carolina, Charlie is currently studying Psychology and Political Science at UNC Chapel Hill. In addition to his academic pursuits, Charlie is deeply involved in his community, spending much of his free time coaching elementary students in soccer and working for the UNC Solar Equity Project, showcasing his commitment to service and sustainability. During his high school years, Charlie demonstrated his leadership abilities as the head instructor for the sailing club, earning his Eagle Scout Award, and serving as captain of the soccer team. His fondest outdoor memories stem from his time at Falling Creek Camp, where he developed a deep appreciation for nature and adventure. Now, as he embarks on his second Moondance journey to Fiji, Charlie is excited to share his love for the outdoors and mentorship with his students, guiding them towards leadership and empowering them to embrace new challenges. With his warmth, maturity, and passion, Charlie is dedicated to giving his all to his students, ensuring they have an unforgettable summer filled with growth and adventure. We are thrilled to have Charlie as part of the Moondance team, and we know he will make a lasting impact on the lives of his students.
