Brita, 22, is from Sioux Falls, South Dakota and is a recent graduate of Creighton University where she majored in Biology. She heard about Moondance all the way in the Mount Rushmore State after a Moondance catalog was delivered to a neighbor who had recently moved; she was immediately hooked and decided to go on the Italian Dolomites trip in 2019! Brita has been actively involved in her local community throughout her life—sharing her passion for tennis by giving youth lessons, serving as a camp counselor for Kidz Kamp, and working at Here4Youth as a caretaker for children with intellectual and physical disabilities. On campus in Omaha, Brita volunteered with the Best Buddies program, was a member of the Pre-Dental Society, and worked as a Teaching Assistant for General Biology Labs. After an incredible summer leading our Canyonlands in 2022, Brita brings her high energy, fun spirit, and passion for Moondance back to the field for her second summer as a Trip Leader!
