Avery, now 26, brings her passion for leadership and adventure to her role as a Trip Leader for the second year with Moondance. Originally from Charleston, South Carolina, Avery recently graduated from the College of Charleston with a degree in business, taking steps towards her dream of starting her own clothing line. Growing up in Charleston, Avery has always been drawn to leadership roles, seeking out opportunities to develop her skills and inspire others. She dedicated eight months to studying great leaders before embarking on a two-month sailing trip as part of a leadership program, demonstrating her commitment to personal and professional growth. Avery further honed her leadership abilities through experiences such as completing an Outward Bound program in the Boundary Waters and leading pre-orientation trips for her college. After attending an all-girls high school, Avery is excited to bring her leadership and mentorship to Moondance’s all-girls Hawaiian Islands trip for the second year. With her dedication, enthusiasm, and love for adventure, Avery is poised to create an unforgettable experience for her students, empowering them to embrace challenges and foster meaningful connections. We are thrilled to have Avery back with us for another incredible summer in Hawaii.
