Annie Edwards, 22, is a resident of Glen Allen, VA, and is a member of the 2023 graduating class at the University of Virginia. As a student, Annie is pursuing a degree in Economics and a minor in History. At the University of Virginia, Annie is very involved with many organizations on campus. Annie volunteers with Make-a-Wish, Speak Up, Habitat for Humanity, and tutors with Day in the Life. Annie’s passion for serving others does not stop there. Annie has gained a lot from these experiences and discovered her passion for working with teenagers. Back at home, Annie furthered this passion through her repeated employment with her high school’s Summer Quest summer program. She worked there as a counselor, and a head counselor. After growing as a leader through these experiences, Annie decided to join the Moondance family as a leader in 2021 and knocked it out of the park in Maui! We cannot wait to provide a wonderful experience for the students on her next trip to the Ecuador + Galapagos this summer!
Sebastian LaTorre, 21, hails from Knoxville, Tennessee and just finished his junior year at Wofford University where he is majoring in Environmental Science and Anthropology. Sebastian is a member of the Wofford Track and Field team, specializing in the decathlon, and serves as a cooking teacher for elementary school students through the “Chef’s Club”. He co-founded and serves as the Creative Director for the New Ground Music Festival—the largest festival in Knoxville. In addition to his entrepreneurial spirit, Sebastian also has an incredibly adventurous side—studying in Tanzania, backpacking through Europe, and visiting multiple National Parks over the last few summers. We are so excited Sebastian decided to join the Moondance family to use his driven and positive personality to encourage his students this summer on Ecuador + Galapagos!
