Tommy has been a part of the Moondance family for years and has led just about every domestic trip - Colorado Trail, Rocky Mountain Way , Blue Ridge Expedition, Pacific Northwest Exposure, Moondance Leadership, Grand Ascents, and Cascade Mountaineering trips. A native of Charlotte, Tommy graduated with his B.S. in Biology from the University of North Carolina , Chapel Hill . While in high school at Charlotte Country Day, he was the quarterback and captain of his state champion football team. In addition, he earned the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout. “T Grip” as he is affectionately known, is another superstar leader who has inspired many of his students to see life positively. He has been a summer camp counselor and enjoys fly-fishing, backpacking, and skiing in his Boulder , Colorado home. Tommy currently teaches high school biology in Charlotte and is planning to attend medical school in the near future..
