Mark, a native of Columbus, OH, and a graduate of Indiana University with a degree in Public and Environmental Affairs, has been immersed in the outdoor industry for years. He first served as a director of a summer day camp, and then later as a kayaking, mountain biking and ropes course instructor for Mountain Camp in the Sierra Nevadas. Mark has significantly influenced those on his trips through his zest for life. Adventurous at heart, Mark has explored Australia and New Zealand and has traveled throughout the Americas, including most of the places where Moondance runs trips! As an avid snowboarder, climber and hiker, Mark lives in Squaw Valley, CA on the north shore of Lake Tahoe where he works as the program director for TAO Education, a non-profit outdoor education organization.
